How long?

So, having bid farewell to Claire and Maddie, the Pratt clan set off on a short journey across London to pick off today’s climbs. Well. Short in distance it may have been, but given the traffic, roadworks and a number of accidents, 15 miles took over 2 ½ Hrs! Having done the climbs we eventually turned up at Quigs, having spent over seven hours on the road. Needless to say, Elaine, Steffi and Ems won’t be joining me on anymore trips.....
So today’s climbs were Swain’s Lane, Newgate and Mott Street, High Beach.
Swain’s Lane was fairly straightforward, apart from the fact that I had to descend the wrong way down a one-way street. It was a pretty easy climb with no real effort. The highlight was the DB9 parked at the top, and it took me a lot of persuading to get Ems to photograph me rather than the car!

On to Mott Street, and it was just as described in the book. I found the broken bridleway sign, and I even experienced the smell of horse manure.

Another two climbs bite the dust, and it brought to an end my South-East tick fest.

2.5 miles 150m
